There is no language barrier till Maharashtra but when you start going more in South side like Bengaluru, Karnataka then there starts some language problem but thats not a problem for living or studying as most of the people speak English. The problem becomes more when you are in Chennai or tamilnadu and if you are going in a local college, where most of the students will be locals only then you will face some problems because teachers will start speaking there local language in between.
But if you are getting a good college where students are present from all the States than there is no problem and you can join the college without hesitation.
