Does one have the option to choose a college other than NITs/IITs but sit in the counselling for both, i.e., JKPMSSS and JOSAA? To see which college and stream does one get.

Yes, students can apply for the PMSSS scholarship and can simultaneously participate in the counseling of JOSAA.

If you get an NIT, IIT college through JOSAA then you can apply for the PMSSS scholarship for these colleges by uploading the joining report by selecting other Examination option from the portal. Make sure you do not freeze the college allotted by PMSSS as you want the scholarship for NIT, IIT not for the college allotted to you.

But if by chance you do not get any college of your preferred branch through JOSAA counseling then you can freeze the college allotted by PMSSS and can take the scholarship for that college. Make sure you only take admission in the college you have frozen.

In both cases, you have to apply online for a PMSSS scholarship and participate in document verification followed by online couselling.
