What is Lateral Entry?
AICTE invites online applications for admission under PMSSS for the Academic Year x and Counseling is conducted for filling up the vacant seats out of 2830 in Engineering Stream Only against the leftover seats of the Academic Year x-1 for Diploma Holders (Polytechnic students) in Engineering Stream under Lateral Entry 2nd year for the B.E. / B. Tech courses.
Based on the choices exercised by you for the vacant seats available in the list of colleges displayed on the official website and an overall merit & reservation criteria(category) of the candidate, you will be allotted the seat.
As you have done diploma in Nursing so as of now you are not eligible under Lateral entry under pmsss. You can apply for a general course if you have the required documents for it.
