There is no such validity of the month written on the income certificate but depending on the organization asking you for the income certificate, they put the constraints.
For PMSSS your income certificate should not be older than 6 months and an annual income certificate is required.
Various other organizations usually ask for income certificates not older than 1 year. So I believe you should renew your income certificate if it is more than 6 months old.
