There is a Scholarship for students who play good sports and has an achievement in sports. They can now pursue their education while continuing to play sports.
There are many scholarships provided by the government and non- government organizations to help students who are well in sports and are in need of financial support. Following is the list of scholarships given for sports.
This scholarship is provided by the National Institute of Sports Development on National Sports Day i.e 29th August with a scholarship amount of 9000 Rs to the Special Students who are physically disabled, deaf, blind, Paralympics, etc.
Shortlisted students are announced after Mid January which are then subject to document verification.

Eligibility for SAI Scholarship
- The student should have done his schooling from government or government-recognized institutions till his 12th class.
- The student should not be getting any other sports scholarship.
- The student should not fail in any subject.
This scholarship is given annually and renewed every year if the student is fulfilling all the criteria again.
Scholarship given for State-level sports is 6600 per year, for National Level sports is 18000 per year and for college-level sports is 10200 per year
Sports Scholarship for girls
SAI gives scholarships for women who are pursuing their Master's degree in Physical Education with a scholarship amount of 10000 per year for a maximum of 3 years of period.
Students are pursuing their diplomas in SAI centers are eligible for a scholarship of 7500 per course.
